Forum Education Minister Meeting

This years Forum Education Ministers Meeting (FEdMM) will be a revealing milestone for all Pacific Islanders as the Ministers will be meeting to adopt and agree on our new Pacific Region Education Framework (REF). What is more exciting for PACFOLD and its community is the Pacific Open, Distance and Flexible Learning Framework (PODFLF), which was developed by a working group that was facilitated by PACFOLD through USP Pacific TAFE.

Organised by the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, this years theme, “Quality and Relevance”, reflects our leaders dedication to quality and commitment to meeting the SDG 4, commitment to better global education.

Meeting Objectives:
(i) discuss and consider high level regional policies in education, the roles of
regional agencies, and strategies for collaboration and partnership with
development partners;
(ii) be aware of global education agenda and commitments and how the
regional agenda can support meeting these commitments; and
(iii) consider and decide on a new Regional Education Framework (REF), the
regional education architecture and convening of future Ministerial
meetings
